Hi, I’m Emma
As a mother myself, I know what the stress of navigating motherhood feels like. I have been there and I’m here to be the support you deserve as you navigate this season of your life.
I specialize in working with mothers and families from pre-conception through postpartum and parenting. I recognize that during this time, there are unique stressors and challenges that mothers and families face that deserve extra attention and support. I am here to help you navigate the challenges in sitting with the unknown, the new worries of parenthood and adjusting to new identities as an individual, parent and partner. These challenges and additional stressors can lead to or exacerbate symptoms of anxiety, depression, sense of overwhelm, or wanting to flee it all. I recognize every person’s journey to growing their family is unique. I offer support to mothers and families experiencing fertility issues, growing their family through surrogacy and adoption, as well as families who have experienced pregnancy and infant loss.
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LICSW) who has practiced in California and Massachusetts for the last 12 years. I have extensive training and experience supporting the perinatal population and am a certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional (PMH-C). I utilize an integrative approach pulling from a combination of evidence based practices including mindfulness, ACT (Acceptance Commitment Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and Narrative Therapy to support each client in a unique and individualized way. I have worked in a range of settings including community based mental health and outpatient supporting children as young as three, adults and families.
Outside of my work life, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, baking, reading, practicing yoga, and being in the outdoors. I have recently found a new passion for strength training which has allowed me to connect to a new part of myself I didn’t know existed until this season of my life.
